Fortified Health Club: Small Changes Make Big Impacts

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

How do I know if these supplements are right for me?

Our team of Doctors has suggested the proper supplements based on the symptoms you indicated. We do not claim these protocols are a one-size-fits-all, nor do we claim this is the only thing you should be taking at this time. The recommendations are proven to help the symptoms you revealed and the results that you received.  We are not stating with these protocols that any other symptoms not indicated will get better by taking the recommendations; therefore, if you are on any medications or have any allergies, please consult your physician before taking any of our recommendations. If you are currently on medications for the listed symptoms you need to be monitored by your prescribing physician. As you progress through this program, your body may get healthier and your need for the amount of medication you are currently taking may reduce. If this occurs and you are still taking your same prescribed dosage, you could experience adverse effects.

How do I know if this program is working for me?

Most individuals who follow the program will see a dramatic reduction in their overall weight; however, about 20% of the population is weight loss resistant due to toxicity. Arguably, these changes are more important for you to make than any other change. This can be difficult if you are being diligent with your changes and not seeing results where you want. Please do not just look at your waistline as the only measurement of success.  Your bio-markers and blood work are a phenomenal indicator of your overall health changing in the positive direction. You will be introduced to detoxification specialists in the later modules. This is most likely the path you need to be on, but please do not get discouraged and think you are wasting time. Most detox specialists will start you exactly where FHC has (diet, exercise, proper hydration, supplementation and mindset). This program is a perfect starter for any detox program.

How do I know what supplements I need?

The supplements recommended to you are based on your survey results and blood work interpretations. If you were not able to see your recommendations, go back to the surveys to see your score and refer to the Supplement Guide, located under the Resources tab, for your protocol recommendations and ordering process.

I am currently on prescription medication(s). Will this affect me?

If you are currently on medications for the listed symptoms, you need to be monitored by your prescribing physician. As you progress through this program, your body may get healthier and your need for the amount of medication you are currently taking may reduce. If this occurs and you are still taking your same prescribed dosage, you could experience adverse effects.

I can’t afford the blood work.  Do I have other options?

We understand that this can be an expensive part for some of you. If you have an HSA account, you can likely use this to pay for your blood work. If you have a primary care physician, you can simply ask him/her to order this lab work for you. You may be able to receive this with only paying a cop-pay, pending on your insurance plan. If you chose this option, make sure that your PCP orders the exact labs requested by Dr. Rachel. In other words, just getting your overall cholesterol score is not the same as getting the NMR (cholesterol particle profile). You can receive a list of these labs in the Lab Work page under the Resources tab of this page. If neither of these options will work for you, you can simply skip the Allostatic Survey portion of Fortified Health Club and rely on the Fortified Health Survey’s overall health score for your personalized recommendations.

I can’t afford the supplements.   Do I have other options?

We understand this can sometimes be a concern. Your HSA will not cover supplement purchases, even with Dr. Rachel’s recommendations. We recommend you choose at least three supplements to start with of the recommended protocol. Our recommendation is to choose three of the worst test results that you received and go with the recommendations for those particular markers. If that is not an option for you either, read below. First, we need to state, we believe no supplement can take the place of eating a whole food lifestyle. If you truly cannot afford the supplement recommendations, make sure you do not deviate off of your meal plan, and try to obtain Organic ingredients as much as possible.

I can’t afford the workout membership.  Do I have other options?

Purchasing the workout membership is an optional service to you and not required for the success of this program. Though highly recommended, we believe that you can experience the example workouts given to you in your exercise module repeatedly. If you are craving variety, you can simply switch out the movements for other moves you are familiar with or can search other full-body fitness moves online to do in place of the ones suggested. The H.I.T. or B.U.R.S.T method is more about the high intensity and short durations more than the actual moves. Do H.I.T. at least three times per week to get the cardio benefits. The membership helps tailor the moves daily to your overall goals. It’s a great alternative we have found to replace a personal trainer that can range anywhere from $60 – $125 per hour.

I can’t get to the next modules.  Help!

Have you watched all the videos from the previous module? Make sure you stick around for the survey to pop up after the last video is played in each module. Completing the survey will help notify our system that you have completed the module and the next module will be unlocked for you the following week. If you are behind in completing a module, once you complete the survey, the next module will automatically unlock for you. If neither of these scenarios fit your situation, contact Customer Service for further trouble-shooting.

I don’t cook or have anyone to cook for me.  What are my options?

You would benefit greatly from our convenience program. While we state that nothing is better than whole foods, we would prefer you do our convenience program than any other fast food method you may be tempted with. Visit the Convenience Program page under the Resources tab on this page.

I don’t remember my scores from my surveys.  Can I access my scores here?

If you don’t remember your scores, simply click on the Contact page under the Customer Service tab to email our customer service team.  Include in the comments section your full name, your email address that was used for your membership, and the corresponding module number that you are requesting the score for.

I tried a recipe and it didn’t work.  Did I do something wrong?

You did not necessarily do anything wrong, as this can sometimes happen. With our members living at different altitudes, the cooking temperatures can sometimes vary slightly, thus changing the overall outcome. There is no way for us to account for all of these changes globally. If you feel confident that this is not the issue, please notify our Customer Service team of your experience and we will look at replacing that recipe from our guide if it seems to become a recurring theme. Our recipes are tested multiple times, but we are always open to hearing how we can improve our systems for you.

My Doctor orders my blood work for me.  Why do I need this blood work?

If you have a primary care physician, you can simply ask him/her to order this lab work for you. You may be able to receive this by only paying a co-pay pending on your insurance plan. If you chose this option, make sure that your PCP orders the exact labs requested by Dr. Rachel. In other words, just getting your overall cholesterol score is not the same as getting the NMR (cholesterol particle profile). You can receive a list of these labs in the Lab Work page under the Resources tab on the top of this page.

What if I don’t see results?  Now what?

First and foremost, don’t quit. Most individuals that follow the program will see a dramatic reduction in their overall weight; however, about 20% of the population is weight loss resistant due to toxicity. Most detox specialists will start you exactly where FHC has (diet, exercise and proper hydration, supplementation and mindset). This program is a perfect starter for any detox program.

What if my scores are not changing on my surveys?

If your scores are not changing, don’t quit. Some of our markers and questions on our surveys are not so easy to change, for example with the relationship survey. Those may not be changes you can implement in 12 weeks, but now you are aware of the changes that must begin in your life to reduce your overall stress levels. The first question to ask yourself if your other scores are not changing is “Am I taking action? Am I following the recommendations of diet, exercise, water and oxygen 90 – 100% of the time?” If your answer is “yes”, your allostatic scores should be changing very easily. If not, please contact your PCP to troubleshoot your issue, especially if you are currently on medication. If you are talking about your overall health score, you may want to contact your PCP to address the symptoms that you are having that are not improving with these changes. This typically is a rare occurrence, but we prefer you see a physician that knows you personally to better serve you in this area. Feel free to contact our customer service to troubleshoot your challenges, but please note that we do not treat, diagnose or advise. We will hear your concerns to see if they are technical or related to our program in any way, and if not, we will refer you to your primary care physician (PCP).

Where can I find some of the ingredients for the recipes?

We understand transitioning to a grain-free lifestyle can expose you to new ingredients you may not know. We provide various web links in your Fortified Health Club Meal Plan book with products that will likely ship anywhere you need. We have found all of the ingredients (other than fresh produce) online. If you are in need of something particular, feel free to reach out to Customer Service and we will send you our favorite links to whatever you are looking for.

Where can I print the Terms and Conditions for the Surveys?

Visit the Customer Service tab at the top of this membership site. A drop down menu will appear and there will be a section called Terms and Conditions. There you will find the most recently updated version of our terms and conditions.
